Two practitioners. One shared vision.

ROOT was born from a friendship and a deep belief that healing the mind and healing the body are not two separate journeys — they're one.

About Komal

Hello!

I came to yoga not as a fitness practice, but as a way home — back to the body, back to breath, back to something steadier underneath all the noise. I'm the founder of Aaram Yoga, a registered yoga teacher, and an Ayurvedic nutritionist, and my work is rooted in the belief that the nervous system is wise, and the body already knows how to heal when it feels safe enough to do so.

I bring a trauma-informed, somatic lens to every class and session I hold. My teaching isn't about getting poses right — it's about getting present. Whether through breathwork, restorative movement, or Ayurvedic principles, I help people slow down, listen inward, and build a sustainable relationship with their own wellbeing. ROOT feels like the natural evolution of everything I believe about healing.

About Neha

Hello!

I'm a licensed psychotherapist with a deep belief that healing is possible — and that it goes further when the whole person is involved.

My path to becoming a therapist grew from a genuine love of human connection and a desire to help people understand themselves more fully — their patterns, their history, and what they're capable of. I specialize in trauma and PTSD, OCD, and the mental health experiences of BIPOC communities, drawing from ACT, ERP, narrative therapy, and existential frameworks to meet each person where they are.

As both a therapist and a yoga instructor, my training in somatic practice, mindfulness, and trauma-informed movement has deepened the way I approach therapeutic work — bringing the body into the conversation alongside the mind. That integration is at the heart of what ROOT is built on.

Together, we make ROOT.

Therapy is powerful.. In therapy people develop self-awareness — they understand where their patterns come from, they build psychological flexibility, they learn to relate to their inner world differently. That work changes lives.

Yoga and somatic practice are powerful. Movement, breath, and body-based awareness cultivate presence, resilience, and a kind of nervous system steadiness that carries into everyday life. People find regulation, release, and a deeper connection to themselves through these practices alone.

Both of us have watched our individual modalities do profound, meaningful work. We're not here because either one was lacking — we're here because we kept noticing the same thing: when these two practices meet, something accelerates. Insight lands in the body faster. Regulation becomes more accessible. Change doesn't just happen in the session — it starts showing up in real time, in real life.

ROOT is what happens when therapy and somatic practice work in the same direction, at the same time.

Therapy creates insight. Yoga creates embodiment. Together, they create integration.

ROOT is the result of years of individual practice, a friendship rooted in mutual respect, and a shared belief that people deserve healing that actually lasts. We're not here to offer a quick fix or a wellness trend. We're here to offer something that goes all the way down — to the root.
